We carry the most comprehensive selection of aluminum door frames and glazing components in Canada.
One look at our component list and you will agree that no one comes close to our range of
products for interior aluminum door and window units. Standard, in stock door frames are
available with throats ranging from 2 ¼” up to 7 ¼”, with 11 other sizes in between. For
walls where our standard door frames don’t fit, we have an adjustable door frame that we
make for any wall thickness, up to 9 ½” thick.
All of our frames are available with a 20 minute fire label. For common areas or
corridors, we have a 90 minute fire rated door frame. Glazing (sidelite and separate
window) components are available in six standard sizes, with an adjustable frame also
available. For all of our door and window frames, we carry the widest range of trim
styles, whether they are narrow, wide, or even deep for a customized look that the
competition just can’t offer. This is because our frames are not just some “spin-off”
of a wall system, but a dedicated line of highly engineered and patented products from
one of North America’s premier manufacturers.
Door frames and Sidelites
IMS makes door frames and sidelite units to suit virtually anything
you can dream up. This image shows a simple 3’ X 7’ door frame with a 2’ sidelite. Notice the addition of horizontal
members (muntins) and the optional 4” window sill for detail. The components for this door and sidelite unit come right
out of the box pre-cut and ready to install. We give you the rough openings and installation instructions with every unit!
Our door frames, with or without sidelites, are available for single doors or doubles, in partial height (6’ 8”, 7’ 0”) or
full height up to 10’. Whatever you like, we can do it.
Glazing
Your wish list fulfilled! Glazing units, transoms and clerestory units
are easy to specify and install. Our glazing is available with either a glazing pocket (there is a groove in the aluminum
for the glass) or with an applied stop, for a more storefront look. Either way, you get the best look for the best price.
Pocket Frames
Am IMS exclusive! Our pocket frame allows you to have a disappearing
sliding door without building a special wall. This patented, pre-fabricated unit is delivered and installed in one piece.
When finished, it resembles our other door frames for a unified look throughout the office. We give you the frame, the track,
the rolling hardware and the trim. You supply the 1 ¾” door and pull handle. (Also available for a 1 3/8” door)
The pocket frame is available for single or double doors.
Sliding door and sidelite units
IMS sliders are the most advanced around. We make the sliding units custom
for every project. For our sliding door and sidelite units, we give you the frames, doors and hardware. Our exclusive carriage
system makes for the quietest sliding door available. Please contact IMS about custom sliding units.
